Mmmm waffles. Great for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert!

Ingredients
- 6 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup baking powder
- 3 Tbsp white sugar
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 5 1/4 cups soy milk
- 1 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 6 Tbsp ground flax seed + 1 cup water
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
Measure out the dry ingredients into a large bowl and whisk to blend together.

Here is a banana bread recipe I like because it uses very little sugar, it is low fat, and of course, it is vegan. I adapted this from the Veganomicon cookbook.

Olive tapenade classes up almost any foodie event by bringing appetizers and hors d’ouevres up a notch. But anyone can go into a delicatessan and overpay for a tiny jar of the olive gold. Making it yourself raises eyebrows, and it is way easier than you would think.

Have you ever met anyone who doesn’t like hummus? I haven’t yet. It is a vegetarian/vegan staple, goes with everything, is healthy, and is super easy to make – the perfect food. And other than the tahini (which I also make at home, pictured below in the glass bowl, recipe here) the ingredients are likely things you have in your kitchen already.
