8 Steps to Transforming Your Organization (or your Marriage, Career, Body, Kids, Etc)
1. Establish a Sense of Urgency
- Examine the facts
- Identify and discuss crises, potential crises, or major opportunities
2. Form a Powerful Guiding Coalition
- Assemble a group with enough power to lead the change effort
- Encourage the group to work together as a team

As soon as you publish a book you become an expert, right? Nevermind your subject matter, when you self-publish people just think you are an expert in publishing books, and want to know how they can publish their book too.
So here is my simple advice: Don’t buy a publishing package from anyone unless you have zero time AND zero skills, and only spend money when absolutely necessary. Oh, and write an outline before you write a book. It saves time!

Unless you’re being paid to travel as part of your career, it can get expensive! I think traveling is great, but there are lots of little costs that add up over the duration of a vacation that are easy to account for when budgeting. The most obvious things you probably budget for are transportation and accommodations, but what about food and entertainment? What about insurance and travel gear?

I’m a big fan of the free goal-tracking solutions you have on offer these days. My five favourite sites are:
- Daily Mile for tracking exercise progress and finding an online community of supportive, like-minded runners/bikers/swimmers, etc.
- EATracker for it’s handy diet analysis system that lets me log and compare my food choices with recommended guidelines from Health Canada.
