The other day my mom was telling me about how, in the 70s, she and a friend drove a fancy old car for an elderly woman from Ontario to Florida, enjoyed a cheap vacation, and then flew home. My mom didn’t know the woman, and I marveled at how they would have connected like that before the internet came along and made the world feel smaller.
Compared to then, travel planning today is easy. But there are endless websites out there, and I can narrow my needs . . .
